This pre-launch legal draft reflects the inspected app and confirmed business details. Final service-provider configuration and jurisdiction-dependent terms remain subject to legal review.
Overview
188 Software Limited designed 188 IPTV Player as a bring-your-own-media player. The app does not supply channels, playlists, subscriptions, or other media content.
This draft describes the behaviour confirmed in the inspected iPhone build. It must be checked against the final production configuration and every released platform before publication.
Information you provide
- Optional account information such as your full name, email address, password credential, and optional avatar URL.
- Playlist or provider details that you enter to access services you are authorised to use.
- App preferences, favourites, playback history, and library organisation choices.
Provider credentials and playback data
The inspected app is designed to store provider credentials, MAC addresses, provider URLs, and stream locators in an encrypted local vault. IPTV secrets are kept separate from the optional 188 account profile.
The inspected iPhone build states that playlist credentials, browser history, and playback activity are not placed in account profiles. Final wording should be reconfirmed for Android, Android TV, and Mac releases.
Account and authentication data
The inspected app includes optional authentication designed around a configured Supabase project. Sessions are stored in the device Keychain on iPhone. The authentication provider may retain security and audit events needed to operate and protect accounts.
The final policy must name the production authentication provider, its purpose, and applicable retention terms after the production configuration is confirmed.
How information is used
- To create and secure an optional 188 account.
- To import, organise, refresh, and play media sources that you provide.
- To remember app preferences, favourites, and playback state.
- To respond to support, security, and account-deletion requests.
- To prevent abuse and comply with legal obligations.
Sharing and sale of information
188 Software Limited should share information only with service providers needed to operate the app, comply with law, protect users, or complete a user-requested action. The production list of service providers must be confirmed before launch.
188 Software Limited does not intend to sell personal information. This statement must remain consistent with the final app, advertising configuration, analytics tools, and applicable regional law.
Your choices and deletion
You can clear local playback history from the app. Signed-in users can request account deletion from the account screen. You can also initiate an account-deletion request at 188software.com/apps/188-iptv-player/account-deletion or by emailing hello@188software.com.
Deleting an online account does not automatically remove playlists stored locally on a device. Local app data can be removed separately from within the app or by removing the app, subject to platform behaviour.
